The Guangzhou Zhongshan Memorial Hall is the theater with the largest audience area diameter in the country, serving as a crucial venue for important meetings such as the Guangdong Provincial Government's executive meetings and various departmental meetings of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference. Additionally, it hosts numerous social performances, leading to a high utilization of its sound reinforcement system. The Memorial Hall's old, traditional analog sound reinforcement system could no longer meet the increasing demands for high-quality performances. In order to better cater to high-quality large-scale conferences and shows, PCI, in conjunction with QSC's professional sound reinforcement products, has created a comprehensive networked and digitized sound reinforcement system for the Zhongshan Memorial Hall.

QSC, with its latest technology featuring a Q-SYS processing system with multiple hot backup capabilities and high-quality power amplifiers and sound reinforcement devices, successfully gained the trust of the Memorial Hall's owners, becoming the linchpin for the transformation of the sound reinforcement system in this project. In the control room of the Memorial Hall's theater, there are 2 QSC CORE250i units and 2 DANTE digital mixing consoles arranged in pairs, providing mutual backup. In the amplifier room, there is 1 IO serving as the signal output platform, converting signals into analog signals for amplification. Both the IO and CORE250i have dual network interfaces, forming a network backup mechanism between the control room and the amplifier room. On the sound reinforcement side, the theater's playback system consists of QSC WideLine-10 dual 10-inch line array speakers and QSC AP series high-power passive speakers. The WideLine-10 is a compact, high-output, wide-angle coverage full-range line array speaker suitable for various venues, including multipurpose halls, concert halls, churches, and large live performances or concerts. Its impressive wide frequency response, warm and natural yet dynamic sound, and a horizontal coverage angle of up to 140 degrees make it especially suitable for environments with large audience spans. It is paired with the QSC CXD series fixed-installation power amplification system, utilizing QSC's fourth-generation Class D amplification technology. The CXD series represents a new generation of innovative amplifier technology designed for system integration. It boasts efficient, powerful, and high-fidelity multi-channel driving capabilities, enabling data optimization for speakers. It also offers the advantages of efficiency and significant space savings in the rack, benefiting from the power provided by PowerLight technology and Power Factor Correction (PFC). The CXD's power conversion efficiency is higher, aligning with the growing environmental requirements of today. The built-in DSP, when connected to QSC speakers, provides IntrinsicCorrection™ technology to further optimize speaker performance. This technology, initially applied to the high-end WideLine line array system, compensates for the non-linear characteristics of the line array and horn design through filtering, limiting, and speaker processing techniques, delivering outstanding sound performance for the Zhongshan Memorial Hall's theater.
