The Xiamen BRICS Summit leaders' venue included five main meeting areas within the venue: the wide-ranging meeting area for the five countries, the small-scale meeting area for the five countries, the BRICS 5+9 meeting area, the state banquet hall, and the Strait Hall (press conference hall). Additionally, there were about 30 high-official listening rooms for leaders and accompanying personnel from various parties to watch and listen to the main venue leaders' meetings in real time through large screens and simultaneous interpretation systems. This summit employed the QSC Q-SYS audio, video, and control system, which includes the Q-SYS Core500i plug-in core processor, the integrated Core250i core processor, and the Core110f, suitable for small-scale systems. By setting up Core500i main units in the main venue, 10 channels of simultaneous interpretation audio from various venues were collected to the central control room. The central control room was responsible for switching and forwarding audio signals to each listening room, with over 300 network audio channels in the system. For this reason, dual main unit backups were employed at critical nodes.
Over a hundred network video encoding and decoding transmission devices were used to create a cross-room high-definition network video transmission solution that covered all the conference rooms within the entire venue. Through the Q-SYS system platform, various system controls and remote management functions were achieved. With this setup, a single person could control the video systems in over 30 rooms throughout the venue."
