The main venue for the Hangzhou G20 Summit was located in the newly completed Hangzhou International Expo Center, situated in the Olympic Expo City of Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou. With a building area of 850,000 square meters, it is currently the largest single building in China.
The G20 main venue and various listening rooms all adopted the American QSC network audio system, known for its stability and reliability. A powerful, flexible, and reliable multi-room network audio and video broadcasting and transmission system was constructed within the main venue.
The summit's leader venue involved the main venue within the building, the luncheon hall, and the press conference hall. Additionally, there were over 20 high-official listening rooms for the leaders of various countries, their entourage, and provincial and municipal leaders from China to watch and listen to the main venue leaders' meetings in real-time through large screens and simultaneous interpretation systems.
The summit used over 50 QSC Q-SYS system devices, including Core500i, Core250i, and Core110f. The Core500i units set in the three main leader venues collected 18 channels of simultaneous interpretation audio from various venues to the central control room. The central control room was responsible for switching and forwarding audio signals to each listening room, with a total of over 300 network audio channels in the system. Key nodes all used the Q-SYS hot backup feature for dual-machine redundancy."
