Nanjing No.1 Middle School

Nanjing No.1 Middle School , a renowned institution in Jinling, was founded during the Qing Dynasty's Guangxu period. The school carries a monumental history of over a century, with Mr. Cai Yuanpei personally inscribing the commemorative monument for its establishment. Over the past hundred years, Nanjing No.1 Middle School  has nurtured numerous outstanding talents across various sectors.

Nanjing No.1 Middle School

As urbanization progresses, Nanjing No.1 Middle School  has constructed a new campus for its high school section in the Jiangbei New District of Nanjing. This new campus is a modernized facility built to the highest standards, covering an area of approximately 150 acres with a total construction area exceeding 100,000 square meters.

The tiered classrooms primarily serve as spaces for educational observation (demonstration) classes and the recording of high-quality lessons. In educational observation classes, the format involves the main teacher delivering the lecture from the podium while students attend in the central area of the classroom. Additionally, many teachers sit in the rear of the classroom to "observe and learn," fostering greater exchange of teaching ideas among educators.

Challenges to be Addressed:

1.During class, students answering questions require someone to hand them wireless microphones, which significantly disrupts the rhythm of classroom teaching, especially in scenarios where students need to respond frequently.

2.Teachers need to wear wireless collar microphones during class. Managing the reception, transmission, battery charging, and disinfection of wireless microphones add extra workload, especially considering the challenges posed by the pandemic.

3.Traditional wireless microphones lack remote monitoring capabilities, making it impossible to check equipment status before class. Any malfunctions typically disrupt classroom teaching.

4.The hanging microphones used for recording in classrooms only serve for audio reception and not for local amplification. Separate sets of microphones are needed for sound reinforcement and recording, leading to duplicated investments.

Solution

Hardware: Sennheiser TCC2 + QSC Q-SYS Ecosystem.

Algorithm: Sennheiser TruVoiceLift Local Sound Reinforcement Algorithm + QSC MixMinus DSP Algorithm.

Control Max TruVoiceLift is a revolutionary universal sound reinforcement solution utilizing ceiling matrix microphones. It also features voice recording, automatic position tracking, and a multi-room management platform.

Post-Installation Effects

Following the completion of the project, classrooms now uniformly use the Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 ceiling array microphone, incorporating the TruVoiceLift local sound reinforcement function. This simplifies student responses to questions and enhances the clarity of teacher lectures. The transformation significantly improves teaching efficiency and creates a more relaxed learning environment for students.
