The Shijiazhuang International Convention and Exhibition Center is located on the north bank of the Hutuo River in the Zhengding New District, west of Xincheng Avenue. The Shijiazhuang Metro Line 1 passes nearby. The total land area is approximately 68.5 hectares, with an above-ground construction area of 160,000 square meters and an underground construction area of 30,000 square meters. The center comprises a 100,000-square-meter exhibition center, a 60,000-square-meter conference center, and supporting facilities. As of early May 2008, the construction of the Shijiazhuang International Convention and Exhibition Center had a total duration of three years and a total investment of 2 billion RMB. All funds required for the project were allocated from the Shijiazhuang municipal finance, planned to be invested over three years.
The construction of the Shijiazhuang International Convention and Exhibition Center is considered a significant initiative for the city, aligning with the imperative to achieve substantial transformations every year over a three-year period. It is seen as a crucial step in enhancing urban functions, elevating the city's image, increasing urban competitiveness, and boosting urban influence. PCI has provided over 400 Q-SYS AC series speakers, nearly 70 Q-SYS CMX series PLD amplifiers, 60 Q-SYS CORE 110 f network processors, as well as Q-SYS CORE 510 i and Q-SYS I/O-8 FLEX network processors for the center.
